But seriously…what believer in Jesus Christ can be content with a mediocre life when our Savior has called us to such heights of sacred service??
He showed us how it blesses Him when we wash the feet of the arrogant, give the coat off our back or even something as insignificant as a cup of cold water! The widow’s mite was a grand gift because it was given from a heart of love and obedience.
Life takes on such joy when the smallest acts and attitudes are given as love gifts to our Savior!
When I repented at age 15, I begged God to not let me be like those dull and joyless people who just warmed a pew on Sunday morning. I asked God to take my life and use me every single day for His glory, in anyway He chose. Well let me tell you, its been an incredible life beyond my imagination!
And its more special because the vast majority of those joys are known only to my Savior and me.
So my friend, please don’t live a dull, mediocre life! Don’t just warm a pew or think you can livestream God from a distance.
Offer Him a sacred, worshipful life instead! Commune with Him even in the small and mundane as love gifts from your heart to His, and you will have a constant joy untouched by trial or suffering.
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,
